Kohima, September 5 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has announced that the applications for various scholarships will be live from September 6. Students eligible for the Post Matric Scheduled Tribe (ST) Scholarship can apply through the National Scholarship Portal at https://scholarships.gov.in from September 6 until November 24.
Additionally, the NEC Merit Scholarship, National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies, and the Ishan Uday Special Scholarship will also be open for applications on the same portal from September 6 to October 31, 2024. For the State Merit and Research Scholarships, students can apply via the Common Scholarship Portal at https://scholarship.nagaland.gov.in during the same period.
ANCSU has urged students to carefully review the guidelines for each scholarship before applying and to complete the applications within the given timeframe to avoid any complications. The union also reminded students that a one-time registration (OTR) is required to apply for scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal.
In its appeal, ANCSU stressed the importance of applying only for scholarships for which students are eligible. Furthermore, the union called on educational institutions to provide free or nominally charged access to their computer labs, enabling students to submit their applications without difficulty.
