ANCSU reminds of call to abstain from class

Kohima, August 11 (MExN): The office of the All Nagaland College Students' Union (ANCSU) has reminded all college students to abstain from attending classes until the Nagaland State Government addresses its charter of demands as per the memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister of Nagaland on August 10.

In a press release from Kruto Tetse-o, Education Secretary of the ANCSU, the Union requested and appealed all college authorities and staff to “understand the genuine demands of the college students and extend cooperation in this regard,” while also appreciating and acknowledging their “outstanding support” thus far.

“As and when the State Government addresses the genuine need and demand of the college students positively,” the ANCSU will inform, through print media, the students to resume their classes. It further cautioned that any college student “defying” the ANCSU call “shall be dealt seriously as the volunteers will be vigilantly monitoring the institutions.” For any communication, the following numbers may be contacted: Benjong Longchar Vice President (Mokokchung): 9862546248, Inato Chisho Finance Secretary (Dimapur): 8794966799, Kruto Tetse-o Education Secretary (Phek): 9089140749, Keneitsituo Kense Social & Cultural Secretary (Kohima): 9089533581, Yachet Walling Deputy Speaker (Peren): 7085660338, Pithungo Shitio Speaker (Wokha): 8974523931, and Bopito Magazine Secretary (Zunheboto) : 8257969634.
