DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 2 (MExN): The All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) has written to the Engineer in Chief, Nagaland State Power Department serving a 30 day ultimatum for the department to fulfill its demands submitted earlier.
The association reminded that it had submitted a representation to the department with four point charter of demands.
The ANEFWA has asked for relaxation of qualifying years for promotion; to lift the ban of W/C appointment and maintenance of w/c strength as prescribed by the Work-Charged and Casual Employee Commission for Power Department; non- finalization of proposal for post creation and regularization of 266 Field Workers; and enhancement of Risk Allowance to the Work-Charged Field Workers at par with the regular field workers.
It had also requested the Engineer in Chief to intimate the association on the outcome of the matter in one month time, which expired on August 23. “Whereas, there is no positive outcome of the referred representation and therefore, the members of the association are aggrieved and discriminated day by day,” the association stated.
The ANEFWA cautioned that failure to take up its demands within 30 days would compel the association to stage a state- wide agitation, democratically within the parameters of law.
