Animal health cum vaccination camp held in Longleng

Longleng, November 23 (MExN): ICAR KVK Longleng conducted animal health cum vaccination camp at Oushok village, Longleng on November 22. 

During the camp, awareness of common disease in livestock and poultry birds and its treatment was delivered by Dr Lily Ngullie SMS (Animal Science). Medicines like anthelminthics, antiseptic ointments, sprays, antibiotic bolus and powder, vitamin and mineral mixtures were distributed to the farmers. Treatment of sick animals and vaccination of pigs with Swine fever vaccine and dogs with anti-rabies vaccine were carried out during the camp assisted by the VFAs of District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Office Longleng. 

All together 87 pigs and 49 dogs were vaccinated. Overall 92 farmers benefitted through the programme.
