DIMAPUR, AUGUST 30 (MExN): The All Nagaland Kung Fu Association (ANKFA) observed the national sports day on August 29 in Dimapur. A press note from the association informed that celebration also honoured the achievements of the founder of the association, Zhenito Awomi. ANKFA President, Mar Longkumer stressed on the need to introduce Kung Fu in all schools and colleges as part of physical education so as to promote discipline and physical fitness among the students. He also stressed that Nagas are capable and talented in all aspects however lamented that due to lack of proper facilities many young talented Nagas do not reach their potential. He therefore urged the Nagaland State Government to give due importance to train youngsters and promote sports. The press note meanwhile informed that the ANKFA is scheduled to host the All India Kung Fu Championship Cup 2017 from November 28 to 30.
