ANMs & pharmacists of Phek trained on logistic & supply chain management

Phek, July 15 (MExN): A training on Logistic & Supply Chain Management was held at Chief Medical Officer’s (CMO) conference hall, Phek on July 14.  

Held for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and pharmacists of Phek district, the main objectives of the training was to orient the trainees on proper maintenance and record keeping of assets and stocks in the health units, informed a press release received here.  

In the first session, the resource person Zuvutho, VCCM Phek gave introduction to logistics and supply chain management and inventory management. He mentioned that assets and stock are the two types under inventory management and oriented the participants on how to maintain the assets and stock in the health units.  

Khrusayi Khamo, another resource person, oriented the trainees on assessing stock status and inventory control system. He trained on the monthly reporting format, indent form, issue form/challan and monitory aspect format.  

Practical session was also conducted during which the AMNs and pharmacists were trained on how to indent the stock and calculate the monthly requirement of stock for the health units, the release added.
