Out of the 124 toppers in the recently declared NBSE results, Dimapur alone accounted for 73 toppers including 43 in HSLC and 30 in HSSLC Exam.
This was informed by Agriculture Production Commissioner, Y Kikheto Sema while speaking as a special guest during a felicitation programme for rank holders organized by All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) Dimapur at Holy Cross School Auditorium on August 17.
Expressing delight at the impressive results from Dimapur-based schools, Kikheto said there was no doubt that Dimapur could not only be called the gateway or commercial hub of the state but an excellent centre with best private schools, students, parents and guardians.
“If an average student like me could reach a position where I am today, then top achievers and students like you can go beyond limits and contribute hugely to the society,” Kikheto encouraged the students.
He urged them to fear and obey God at all times besides obeying their teachers and parents. He also advised them to remain humble as they continue to scale greater heights in life.
Guest of Honour, Rajesh Soundararajan, Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur said that the impressive NBSE results from Dimapur district was a reflection of joint efforts from the schools, teachers, students and parents over the years. He encouraged the students to properly decide what they wanted in life, set their goals and to keep on constantly improving. Rajesh also advised the students to set long term and short term goals by stressing on hard work, patience and perseverance. “Whatever you are achieving today is just a beginning and you should keep aiming for more and try to excel in your chosen field,” Rajesh added.
Both the special guest and guest of honour gave away certificates to the toppers during the programme.
