Longding, December 29 (MExN): The Arunachal Naga Students’ Federation (ANSF) elected a new President and General Secretary during a meeting on December 29 at Kanubari, in Longding district under Arunachal Pradesh. Gawang Hakhun and Victor Honlem Khangham were elected by the voice of assembly present as the new President and General Secretary respectively, a press release from the Federation informed.
The outgoing President and General Secretary reminded that the ANSF was formed as the students’ organization for the Nagas in Arunachal and further urged the new officials to strive for peace, unity and prosperity of Naga people living in Tirap, Changlang and Longding districts under Arunachal Pradesh, the release added.
The new President and General Secretary expressed gratitude to the house for believing in them and pledged to shoulder the responsibility of serving the interest of the Nagas in Arunachal. The duo also reiterated their stance for unity among the Naga people and to progress as one family.
