ANSF meets Governor on the issue of autonomous territorial council

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 14 (MExN): A delegation of the Arunachal Naga Students’ Federation (ANSF) on Thursday met the Nagaland Governor and Interlocutor for Naga Peace Talks, RN Ravi, at Raj Bhawan, Kohima. 


A press communiqué issued by the ANSF said the Federation’s meeting was to illuminate the apprehension of Tirap, Changlang and Longding (TCL) people on the issue of the autonomous council for the region. 


At the meeting, the Interlocutor is learnt to have told the delegation on the establishment of Regional Autonomous Territorial Council for the TCL region under the jurisdiction of Arunachal Pradesh. 


According to the Federation, the Interlocutor also stated that the autonomous council members will be elected from TCL jurisdiction with democratic procedure and no interloper will penetrate. It will be solely for the TCL people for peace and development in the region.
