ANSTA general conference from Nov 1

The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) is all set to hold its general conference at John Government Higher Secondary School, Viswema under Kohima district from November 1 to 2 under the theme “Professional renewal towards academic excellence.”  

“Through this conference, we want to renew and revive the professionalism to work with more dedication and renew the professional skills,” said ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth while addressing a press conference here today.  

Wanth informed that the conference will be graced by Tongpang Ozukum, Minister for PWD as special guest, KT Sukhalu, Advisor, school education as guest speaker and Menukhol John, Principal Secretary Department of School Education and SCERT as resource person.  

An open discussion will be held under the topic “What ails the academic performance of Govt. schools in Nagaland and how to improve it” and “Challenges of govt. school teachers in Nagaland, suggestion for remedial measures.”  

It was also informed that the ANSTA team will undertake nature walk to Dzukuo valley on the second day of the event to develop the habit of care for nature.  

At least 30 teachers from each unit or sub unit are invited to attend the conference and added they were expecting around 300 teachers from the different units in Nagaland.  

It was informed that all the teachers’ delegates will be granted two days special leave to enable them to attend the conference.   The conference will be hosted by Central ANSTA and Kohima Unit ANSTA.
