Kohima, May 18 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) today said education is a joint venture and also maintained that to bring out all round development of the student, joint effort of the teachers, parents, planners, policy makers etc is required “so that together we can draw out the multi-dimensional aspects of the students and shape their destiny.”
Keeping in view of all these factors, District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) Kohima is organizing varieties of programme such as quiz, extempore speech, painting competition besides introducing a scheme for awarding the candidate securing highest aggregate marks in the HSLC examination amongst the Government Schools under Kohima District.
ANSTA said all these programmes are being organized in order to motivate the students of government school so as to bring them up at par with others, and acknowledged the Kohima DPDB for their noble initiative in taking up of human resource development on priority basis with different innovative ideas. The Association hoped that such good gesture and healthy exercise of DPDB, Kohima will go a long way to inspire and encourage the students of government school.
The Association was also hopeful that the DPDB, Kohima would continue in initiating such noble venture even in days to come thereby setting a shining example for rest of the districts to follow. Further, the Association was of the firm view that with concerted effort the raw materials (Students) of Govt. of Schools can be transformed into useful finished products useable in the society. This was stated in a release issued by ANSTA president Ponchulo Wanth and general secretary L. Asang.
