
Kohima, March 25 (MExN): The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) while acknowledging the service of the city buses being provided to students for their daily conveyance, refers to Resolution (B) adopted by Board of Regional Transport Authority, Kohima on 10-01-13.
The Resolution (B) says – the Board was unanimous to charge half of the fare for students in full uniform. The Board comprises of DC as Chairman, SP, CEO (KMC) ADC (HQ) as members and RTO as member secretary along with invitees from NVCO, CBOUK respectively. “But it is being observed that many a times conductors of city buses are found to be ignoring the said resolution and charge the normal fare from the students though in full uniform,” ANSTA said in a release received here today.
In this connection, the Association requested the city bus owners of Kohima town to “kindly adhere to what rate of fare had been fixed for students by the Board and charge accordingly as students are a mere dependants.” Moreover, the Association informed those students (who are availing service of city bus for their schooling) to be always aware of student fare concession and pay only half of the fare as has been unanimously fixed by the Board.
