DIMAPUR SEPT 20 (MExN): The Ao Milen had an inaugural function for their new office today at Duncan Bosti, near Ao church, Dimapur. The Ao Milen newspaper is a local vernacular newspaper that also gives emphasize on the life and culture of the Aos and it was established in 1933. Speaking with the Morung Express, Editor of the Ao Milen, T. Senka Ao said that the office was opened at Dimapur for the convenience of the people who take their news paper and for better circulation in Dimapur, Medziphema and Kohima. The Editor also mentioned that the decision to open the office at Dimapur was by the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM).
The function began with an invocation by Asenla, President of Watsu Telongjem, Dimapur and followed by a welcome speech by Akum Pongen, President of AKTD. They had also invited S.I Jamir who was a former president of AKM and I. Temjen Jamir, President of Ao Senso Dimapur. During the function the Editor of Ao Milen, T. Senka Ao also spoke on the aim and objective of their paper. The function ended with a benediction by Rev. N Tzudir, Pastor, DABA.
