AON to conduct series of offroad events

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 26 (MExN): The Association of Offroaders Nagaland (AON) is all set to organize a series of back to back offroad trail and challenges for those adventure and offroad junkies of northeast India. The events scheduled are Doyang 4x4 Xcursion 2018, Offroad Maestro 2018 and Hornbill Offroad Challenge 2018.  

Doyang 4x4 Xcursion will be held during the Amur Falcon Conservation Week and Festival scheduled from 8th to 10th November 2018 at Doyang, Wokha. This will be the first offroad event organized in Wokha district at professional level. AON will organise an Offroad Trail Drive (OTD) and an Offroad Experience (OEx) during the Doyang 4x4 Xcursion between the stretches of abandoned road from Stone Quarry to the Event HQ which is estimated at about 7-8 kilometres of offroad drive.  

Offroad Maestro is an extreme offroad competitive event organized annually by AON and this year’s chapter is scheduled from 22nd-24th November 2018 in Dimapur. Every year participants from across Northeast compete for the top honours and this year’s event will push the envelope a further more. The competitors and their machines will be put through extreme terrain and challenges in the three gruelling days to prove their mettle. The event will run through the night.  

The Hornbill Offroad Challenge 2018, organized by NAMSA in partnership with AON will be a part of Hornbill Motoventure Challenge which is scheduled from 2nd to 6th of December during the annual Hornbill Festival. The HOC 2018 will be held on 4th of December 2018. The participants will have to manoeuvre around the offroad trails in the outskirts of Kohima District. Conceptualized and designed to be an endurance trail, this event will test the capabilities of the participants and their machines by exhibition of skilful offroad driving and also evoke the spirit of camaraderie among the participating teams.   Detailed information of the above events will available at AON Official Facebook Page.
