APO & others condole Zaku Tsükrü’s demise

Kohima, September 19 (MExN): The Angami Public Organisation (APO) and other organizations have mourned the death of Zaku Tsükrü, senior NPF official and former president of NSF and APO, and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.  

APO: In a condolence message, APO said Zaku was a “great leader, a man of innumerable contributions to the society and he is irreplaceable.” Noting that it cannot express its sorrows with words, APO prayed that God will give the bereaved family peace and comfort they need.  

NPF Dimapur: The NPF Dimapur division in a separate message recognized the “yeomen contribution” of late Zaku Tsükrü for the Naga people in various organizations and Naga movement. In his political career, he remained a staunch regionalist till he breathed his last, it stated, adding his demise is not only a loss to his community but also a great loss for the Naga people.  

SAPO: The Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) remembered Tsükrü as a “visionary leader” right from his school and college days. SAPO president, Dr. Neiketou Kiso in a condolence message added Tsükrü was known for honesty, reliability and firmness for justice and truth in all his dealings and associations. “In his death, the Southern Angami public has lost a tall and trustworthy leader and which will be difficult to be filled up in days to come,” he said.
