Appeal for police outpost at Nsong

Peren, February 8 (DIPR): The Addl. Chief Secretary & Commissioner Nagaland, Banuo Z. Jamir toured Nsong and Tening on February 7. The Public of Nsong area accorded warm welcome to the Commissioner and her entourage at Nsong Town. A public meeting was held at Nsong Town where the Commissioner interacted with the Heads of Departments of Education, Power, Medical, Social Welfare and others. In the meeting the public of Nsong area submitted a memorandum to the Commissioner for establishment of one Police outpost at Nsong and for upgradation of Sub-Centre- Nsong to that of Primary Health Centre, which the commissioner committed to look into.
The Commissioner inspected the offices of EAC Nsong, CDPO Nsong, GPS Nsong, GMS Nsong and Sub-Centre Nsong. The commissioner gave cash award of `10,000 each to the GPS Nsong, GMS Nsong and Sub-Centre Nsong for their good performance.
On arrival at Tening Town the Commissioner inaugurated the Tening Town Committee Hall, also the New Market Complex and Customary Court Tening. The Commissioner also urged upon the GBs and DBs for strict and correct implementation of the on going census operation. She also visited PHED office, SSA Training Centre, CDPO office and CHC Tening before leaving Tening.
