Mon, September 5 (MExN): The office bearers of the Chi Citizen today appealed the concerned department to look into the “pathetic condition” of the Wangkhao Government College (WGC) and “appoint required number of teaching staffs in each department.”
The team led by its President Kaiyan Toalim during their visit to the WGC Mon on September 3, learned that the College “has around 500 students but only 17 teaching faculty.” This was informed in a press release issued by the Chi Citizen.
The release stated that during the visit the team had an interaction and discussion with Dr. M. Libanthung Ngullie, Principal, WGC and he highlighted the present condition of the College and the development that took place after he joined the institution as the principal. He shared the problems of the College and also the “lackadaisical” attitude of the entire community and leaders towards the welfare and development of the lone College in the entire Mon District. The principal also shared the “sorry state” of the mess allegedly created by the youngsters by coming and partying inside the campus of the college at night, it added.
“These kind of bad habits pollute the sanctity of the educational institution and the moral of the society are jeopardized,” the release said.
Meanwhile, the Chi Citizen shared deep concern for the development of the institution and appealed one and all to play a proactive role for the same. The team as the land owners and the guardian of the college requested all concerned to kindly maintain the dignity and honor of the institution. It further appreciated the principal and his colleagues for their unwavering efforts against all odds and appealed them to tirelessly continue to do the good work.
