
Kohima, January 10 (MExN): The Zeliang Students’ Union, Nagaland (ZSUN) in an open letter to the Advisor, School Education, Government of Nagaland on Monday has reiterated its demand for appointments of mathematics teacher and other required teachers at Government Higher Secondary School, Tening.
The union has placed the appeal to fulfill their demands by January 25, 2022 and cautioned that the “failure” to fulfill the demands will “lead to agitations and other forms of protest throughout the District. And the Zeliang Students’ Union, Nagaland will not be held accountable for any untoward incidents that may arise out of agitations and protests.”
The union in its letter stated that ZSUN letter dated 19th October 2021, addressed to the District Education Officer, Peren for the appointment of mathematics teachers and other required Teachers in respect of Government Higher Secondary School, Tening before the next academic session, has been forwarded to the Principal Director, Department of School Education, Kohima.
“The concerned department has not forwarded any information to the school authority or the Zeliang Students’ Union, Nagaland even after more than two months has lapsed,” it alleged. Therefore, the Advisor, School Education has been requested for intervention and to make necessary appointments at the earliest.
