Dimapur, October 14 (MExN): The prime suspect of grenade lobbing incident that took place at Dhansiri Assam Rifles (AR) camp on October 10 has been arrested, an official release informed.
The release from HQ IGAR (N) informed that the culprit, identified as a cadre of NSCN (K-Nikki Sumi), was arrested at Purana Bazar on October 11 with one 9 mm Pistol and 3 live rounds of ammunition in his possession. Nabbing the culprit within 36 hours of crime, the AR made it very clear that on one would be allowed to disturb the peace of Dimapur town, the release maintained.
The apprehended person along with recovered items were handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation, it added.
Meanwhile, another release from HQ IGAR (N) informed that security forces along with police representative recovered a 9mm pistol with magazine, 6 live rounds, one point 303 Rifle with magazine, one live rounds of 12 Bore Rifle, one identity card and one pair of Naga Army uniform at Philimi village, on October 13 and handed over to Zunheboto PS.
