AR carry out cleanliness awareness campaign

Kohima, September 21 (MExN): As part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, units of HQ IGAR (North) organized mass cleanliness awareness campaign aiming at pollution free and clean Nagaland. 3 Assam Rifles, 7 Assam Rifles, 9 Assam Rifles, 22 Assam Rifles and 28 Assam Rifles carried out the campaign in Kohima, Kiphire, Phek and Wokha districts from September 15 to 20 and the same will be continued till October 2, stated a press release from Lt Col Amitabh Sharma, PRO, HQ IGAR (North).  

The awareness campaign involved conduct of lectures on importance of the Abhiyan and interaction with civil society organizations, various other stakeholders and youth. Youth and others participated in the campaign and assured to take it forward as their social responsibility and make their respective districts and Nagaland as clean as possible, according to the release.
