AR conducts medical camp in various villages

Dimapur, March 6 (MExN): The Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised medical camp at Tangkong and Yangkhao village of Mon district on March 5.

A press release from the IGAR (North) stated that the aim of the medical camp was to provide medical support and assistance to the villagers especially the old, handicapped, orphaned and women who are unable to go to the hospital at far distances. The importance of timely vaccination, personal hygiene and sanitation was also discussed. 

The camp benefitted 92 males, 94 females and 28 children. The AR Jalukie Battalion conducted a medical camp at Azau, Peren district on March 4. A total of 213 villagers include 71 male, 106 female, 36 children availed the services in the medical camp.

On March 5, the AR Jalukie Battalion conducted another medical camp at Benreu, Peren district on March 5. A total of 186 villagers benefitted from the camp. “The aim of the medical camp was to provide medical support and assistance to the villagers who are unable to go to the hospital at far distance,” the release stated.
