Assam Rifles under the aegis of Mon BN/7 Sector AR (Thundering Thirty Five) handed over four computer sets with accessories to Wangkhao Government College, Mon on June 8.
Mon, June 12 (MExN): The Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of Mon BN/7 Sector AR (Thundering Thirty Five) handed over four computer sets with accessories to Wangkhao Government College, Mon on June 8 as part of its E-Learning drive. The computer sets were handed over by Brigadier Sandeep Chatterjee and received by Dr I Wati Imchen, Principal of Wangkhao Government College, in the presence of Col Navdeep Malhotra, Major Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Mon, Thavaseelan K, SP Mon, Imnalensa along with faculty and staff of the college.
Brigadier Sandeep Chatterjee in his brief speech pointed out the importance of E-Learning in today’s world and how there should be a shift in the methodologies of dealing with academics from the traditional style to more of technology-oriented teaching and learning. He expressed hope that the small contribution will be of significant help in filling up gaps in certain critical sectors of the institution, while also committing to provide four electric lecterns to the college as well as help and render similar services to the institution in the future.
Principal Dr I Wati Imchen on behalf of the college thanked the Assam Rifles for their generous contributions to the college. Dr Wati mentioned that such collaborative effort with the defense wing and their efforts in uplifting the weaker sections of students will go a long way in motivating the youths and young minds ,inculcating a sense of social responsibility in the future.
