Everyone wants to be happy. Happiness is a basic need of the human heart, yet so few seem to find it. The one problem of the human race is how to find happiness. Some say that if poverty and illiteracy were wipe out, then everybody will be happy. Others again say, higher wages, better living condition and social security, undoubtedly, will usher-in the age of happiness. We learn from history that all these things, though good in themselves, cannot guarantee happiness to a Nation or individual.
Many think that money is the key to happiness. If this were true then all the rich people would be happy and the poor miserable. We know this is not the case, some very wealthy people commit suicide and it can also be prove that some of the most dissatisfied belong to the higher state of society.
An ambitious young man once went to interview a famous rich man. He patiently answered all the youth’s eager questions. As a parting compliment the young man said “I suppose there is nothing more you want in this world?” The great man replied. “On the contrary, young man. I wish I could have happiness.”
