Army Chief concludes visit to Nagaland, neighbouring states

KOHIMA, December 29 (MExN): Chief of India’s Army, General Bipin Rawat departed for Delhi on Friday after conclusion of his three day visit to Eastern Command Theatre.  

The Army Chief interacted with all ranks during his visit and exhorted them to maintain high standards of Operational Preparedness, a press release from the PRO Defence informed.  

During the three day visit, the Army Chief reviewed the operational preparedness and the security situation at HQ Eastern Command in Kolkata as well as formation HQs and units in Nagaland, Manipur and Upper Assam.   On December 28, General Rawat called on Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang and discussed the prevailing security situation in the state.
