DIMAPUR, MARCH 9 (MExN): The alumnus of the Assam Rifles School has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several Union Ministers including Rajnath Singh, Kiren Rijiju, Dr Jitendra Singh and Smriti Irani appealing against the shutdown of the Assam Rifles Public School. The alumnus, in their letter, informed that the Management Committee of Assam Rifles Public School had issued a notice dated December 30 to the school teachers and staff, that the school is unable to provide salary to the staff and that the School will be closed down on April 1. Closing down the school, they stated, “shows lack of management and sheer ignorance towards development of education in India. What about the present students and their parents? Where did their hopes of making their Boys a successful citizen of India Go?”
