Dimapur, February 14 (MExN): Major General, R. K Lakhanpal, Additional Director General Assam Rifles is on four days visit to ARTC&S with effect from February 9. A press note received here informed that during the visit his wife Madhu Lakhanpal, Vice Chairman ARWWA honoured the abode of the destitute living “Touch of Hope” orphanage situated at Sukhovi.
She interacted with the children living in the orphanage ranging from 03 years to 12 years of age. She was touched by the feelings of the children and gave a word of encouragement to them. She gave a handsome cash incentive to the orphanage and distributed sweets and other eatable to the children. She applauded the efforts of “Mr and Mrs Meryn”, the owner and caretaker of the orphanage in bringing up the children residing there and wished them good luck for their future endeavours in service of the destitute.
