Asian Mission College celebrates Foundation Day

Kohima, April 8 (MExN): Asian Mission College, Kohima, celebrated its 8th Foundation on April 8 under the theme “Aspire to Excel.” Assistant Commissioner, Sarita Yadav (IAS) and Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mezivolu T. Therieh (NJS) were the guest speakers, a press release informed.   Speaking on the topic “Education: Catalyst for Change,” Sarita Yadav stressed on the fact that education is not just about reading and learning from books, but it is an all-round development. “We can realize our potential and progress in life through education,” she stated.

  Meanwhile, Mezivolü T. Therieh spoke on the topic “Towards Aspirations: Setting and Achieving our goals.” The Chief Judicial Magistrate stated setting goal is the pre-requisite to achieving one’s goals, adding hard work and effort are necessary to achieve goals no matter what career or line one is pursuing. She challenged the students to venture out to meet the challenges of the society and bring about changes. She also opined that one ought to become practical in Christian life by becoming responsible citizens and live out the moral principles laid down in the Bible.   The programme was led by Rokosano Koza, welcome address and invocation prayer were presented by Neizavilie Chalieu, Vice Principal, AMC. A special song was presented by the AMC Choir.
