Dimapur, July 23 (MExN): Assam Rifles, Kiphire Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) during conduct of spot vehicle check on July 21 near DC ground, Kiphire, intercepted a blue colour Alto Car bearing registration No WB – 06 H-0161 and apprehended Vitoka Sumi (25), along with one point 32mm Pistol, a magazine and three live rounds.
The apprehended person along with recovered items has been handed over to Kiphire Police Station for further investigation.
Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) during a search operation in general area Athibung bridge along with a police representative on July 18 apprehended Seithang (40), along with one point 22mm Pistol and a magazine.
The apprehended person along with recovered item was handed over to Athibung Police Station for further investigation.
