Assam Rifles screen documentary movies

Dimapur, August 13 (MExN): In the run up to India’s Independence Day, Assam Rifles battalions under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) screened documentary movies in various places of Nagaland.  

3 (Naga Hills) Battalion Assam Rifles organized screening of documentary movie with the theme ‘Independence Day’ at Dainty Buds Higher Secondary School, Kohima on August 9. A total of 31 teachers and 700 students attended the event, informed a press release from PRO, HQ IGAR.  

32 Assam Rifles also organized a special screening of documentary movie at Ebenezer Orphanage Home in Dimapur on August 10. The aim of the event was to educate and spread awareness about importance of Independence Day and motivate young generation to join armed forces, the release said.  

A documentary was also screened by 22 Assam Rifles for students of Phek Town on August 9. A total of 61 students and 2 teachers of Govt Higher Secondary School and 38 students and 2 teachers of Assam Rifles School watched the movie.  

9 Assam Rifles also screened documentary movie at TMT Higher Secondary School, Pfutsero on August 9. 55 students from class VIII to X and three teaching staffs saw the documentary on the theme ‘Independence Day’.
