Mon, February 7 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Chen block under Mon district conducted training and demonstration on February 3, 5 and 6 at Chenmoho, Chenwetnyu, and Chenloisho respectively. Participants were given training on application of organic fertilizer in solanaceous crops, management practices of onion, management practices of solanaceous crops and management practices of French beans. Demonstration was done on preparation of dishwash, cultivation of okra, piggery management and cultivation of potato, informed a press release from ATMA.
The resource persons were Block Technology Manager (BTM) Mhachamo Ngullie, Assistant Technology Manager (ATM) Chuba Imsong, and ATM Youngpa Konyak. Farmer friend Nongwang also demonstrated on preparation of dishwash.
Dishwash kits, seeds and deworming medicine were distributed at the programmes, which were attended by a total of 40 farmers and SHG members from 10 groups.
