ATMA Longleng organizes demonstration programme

Longleng, August 28 (MExN): ATMA Longleng block organized a demonstration programme on packaging practices of winter vegetables viz Broccoli and Cabbage at Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) mission compound Longleng on August 27.

The participants were all church members and the programme was mainly initiated to encourage the community to be self-sustainable and partake in holistic development of the village.

The resource person was Bandangkumzuk, ATMA Longleng Block where he demonstrated on raising nursery for healthier plant growth, care and stressed on the importance of use of bio fertilizers and bio enriched organic manure and Vermicompost as an alternative to use of chemical. He said that four to five leaves stages for transplanting was ideal and focused on maintaining proper spacing while transplanting in the main field. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Aienla, BTM Longleng Block.
