ATMA Medziphema conduct training and mobilization of SHGs programme

Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): ATMA Dimapur, Medziphema block conducted training and mobilization of Self Help Groups (SHGs) programme at Tsiepama village on August 31.

A press release issued by Chubanaro Jamir, BTM, Medziphema block stated that the training was imparted on the topic “Organic cultivation practices of king chilly (Raja Mircha)” by resource person Lireni Kikon, SMS (Plant Protection), KVK (ICAR), Jharnapani. She highlighted on various aspects of king chilly cultivation, nursery bed preparation, spacing seed treatment with biofertilizers, intercropping and its disease management.

A hands on training programme was also conducted for mobilization of SHGs on “preparation of detergent powder” and “value addition of king chilly” by resource person Keneisano Krose, ATM and Nengkhonem Hangsing, ATM of Medziphema block.  Detergent kits, neem oil and seeds were distributed to the SHGs and farmers present. Altogether 20 farmers attended the programme.
