ATMA Peren ‘Within State farmer’s exposure tour’ held

Peren, September 3 (MExN): With an aim to boost awareness and expose the farmers to new ideas on agriculture practises, ATMA Peren undertook a ‘Within State farmer’s exposure tour’ to Dimapur on August 30.
The team was led by two Deputy Project Directors of ATMA Peren. The team visited a Livestock farm located at Seithekima A village and an eco friendly areca leaf plate making unit located at Diphupar B.
During the visit to livestock farm the farm school, teacher Thejano thoroughly explained on modern methods of Poultry and Cattle farming. The team visited the eco friendly areca plate making unit, where the Proprietor, K. Nihokhu Chopi explained in brief on the importance and uses of areca plates. He highlighted on various aromatic and medicinal plants grown in his farm.
“The entire exposure tour enables the farmers to interact with and learn from the various resource personal allowing them to view practical examples of sustainable practices in farming communities,” Yezaho Swu, Deputy Project Director, ATMA, Peren.
