Zunheboto, August 16 (MExN): ATMA Zunheboto block organized training on cultivation of winter crops at Baihmo village on August 11.
Chubatsur Jamir, BTM Zunheboto block was the resource person she trained the villagers on the cultivation of cabbage. She also spoke on the techniques of preparing nursery beds. Also a one day demonstration program was conducted on Bio-composting with the same group of participants.
The demonstration was carried out by resource person Kivika Chophy, BTT Convenor ATMA Zunheboto block & Agriculture Officer. A total of 25 villagers participated. Aito Chophy, ATM Zunheboto block distributed some winter crops to the participants.
Meanwhile a demonstration program on value addition on locally available fruits was organized at old town Zunheboto on August 12. Participants from different SHG participated. Local expert Alila Aier was the resource person where she demonstrated on banana cake making. Kaboli Wotsa, ATM Zunheboto block sum up the program with a vote of thanks and challenging the participants to come forward and show some positive impact through what they learned.
