
The audition for Campus Live Beats was held on 26th November, 2011 at The Heritage (Old DC Bungalow), with bands coming from as far as Tuli, Mokokchung District. The Judges for the audition were Thejove Medeo an accomplished guitarist and member of the former band Tribal Instinct, Yanpo Lotha, a lawyer by profession and a musician by choice and Obed Kath the vocalist of Divine Connection, winner of MTV Kurkure Desi Beats 2010.
The organizer expresses appreciation to the various institutions for their cooperation and the bands for their enthusiasm. The audition reaffirms the organizers belief in the vast pool of promising talent among students in Nagaland.
The organizers are now set for the Workshop to be held on November 30, at Tourist Resort, Chedema. The workshop will be on ‘Stage Ethics’ and will be conducted by one of the top band in Nagaland - UDX, a band committed to alternative metal and to creating difference through music. It will be followed by a Motivational Dinner where eminent personalities in the music industry will deliver motivational talks on various issues pertaining to launching a career in the Music Industry. The resource persons will be Rahul Ram, the bassist of the internationally acclaimed band Indian Ocean, Ate Kevichüsa, an independent media professional and Yanpo Lotha, a lawyer by profession and a well known drummer. The Mega Event will be on the December 1 at Kohima Science College, Jotsoma.
