Authorities not aware of shifting 8th NAP camp

Akuluto, May 26 (DIPR): The monthly Akuluto Departmental co-ordination meeting was held in SDO(C) office on May 26. Parliamentary Secretary IPR, Khekaho Assumi who was also present in the meeting spoke on various issues concerning the 31st Akuluto Constituency.  

Regarding shifting of the 8th NAP company stationed in Akuluto, the Parliamentary Secretary said that it was not in his knowledge and therefore instructed the SDO(C) Akuluto, 8th NAP Commandant, G.Bs Association and the elders of Akuluto Town to jointly verify the site and report back to him on the feasibility, practicality and the security aspect of the proposed shifting. Khekaho Assumi expressed that he was surprised because of the fact that besides him even the Administration and the Public leaders were not aware of the NAP camp to be shifted.  

He assured the gathering specially the public that as the representative of the constituency, he will not allow shifting of the NAP company to take place unless all considerations and confidence of the public are taken into account.  

In conclusion SDO(C) Akuluto, Kikumsumongla thanked the Parliamentary Secretary for sparing his time and for giving valuable inputs during the meeting. She also expressed her gratitude to the Headmaster of GHS, Akuluto for organizing career guidance seminar along with the student's body.  

The Medical department will be next in line to hold the Medical Camp in Akuluto Town and in those regard the doctors were asked to be ready with the department equipments and medicines. The camp is to be held in the month of June 2016.
