KOHIMA, AUGUST 10 (MExN): Bumblebee Society, in collaboration with Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi, and supported by Anaha Public Charitable Trust, organised a two-day training programme on Autism, Sensory Processing Disorders, and Behaviour Management for parents, teachers, and social workers on August 7 and 8 at Nagaland Olympic Association Cafeteria, Kohima.
The workshop was conducted by specialists from the Early Intervention Team of Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi, who brought expert knowledge and hands-on strategies to Nagaland. The sessions highlighted that behaviour is often a form of communication and provided practical tools for addressing challenges faced by children with Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy.
Participants were trained to identify sensory sensitivities, implement structured “sensory diets,” and apply Occupational Therapy techniques to improve regulation, learning, and social participation.
The event drew parents, educators, and social workers from Phek, Dimapur, and Kohima.
