AZSU condemns ‘intrusion’ at Lamhai Namdi village

Dimapur, September7 (MExN): The All Zeliangrong Students' Union (AZSU) (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) has condemned the “intrusion” that took place in Lamhai Namdi village on September 6.

The AZSU president, Henry Chawang and general secretary Asappe zeliang in a press release issued stated that the AZSU (AMN) is “shocked” and “dismayed” at the “intrusion” by unidentified miscreants who allegedly “burned down houses and a church, and fired automatic weapons.”

The union while terming the incident as “inhumane and uncivilized” maintained that it is “disturbing” to see such incidents in this civilised world “as it provokes social convention.”

The AZSCU (AMN) further appealed all the “right thinking” citizens “to condemn and demand competent authority to deliver justice at the earliest.”
