Wokha, July 17 (MExN): The 23rd Foundation Day celebration cum inauguration of gazebo at Bailey Baptist College (BBC) Wokha was held on July 15.
A press release issued by the BBC stated that the newly constructed gazebo, sponsored by the District Rural Development Agency and Blocks through the initiative of Thungdeno Mozhui, Project Director DRDA Wokha was inaugurated by Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon (IAS), DC Wokha, after a dedicatory prayer pronounced by Rev Thungrio Khuvung, Pastor Wokha Town Baptist Church.
The release added that shortly after the inauguration programme, the Foundation Day celebration programme kicked off with Myingthungo Kikon, Assistant Professor as the leader.
While delivering welcome address, T Penthungo Ngullie, Principal (Acting) highlighted the history of the college and Reverend Thungrio Khuvung, Pastor Wokha Town Baptist Church said the prayer.
DC Wokha, Dr Samoon speaking at the occasion as the special guest, embarked on the relevance of hard work and resilience.
The college being the only private college in the district, he asked the stake holders and the alumnus to contribute for its growth and assured to extend any possible help from the administration if required. A special presentation was favored by N Yanpothung Ezung, Assistant Professor.
