DIMAPUR, MARCH 2 (MExN): Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE), Dimapur celebrated its 20th Foundation Day cum Graduation Day for students of 2018-2020 and 2019-2021 batches on March 1.
A press release said that Dr Sabu Joseph SDB, Principal, welcomed the chief guest Dr Fr Jose Kuruvachira SDB, Provincial of Dimapur Province (Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland and Upper Assam), Fr MP Thomas, Rector of BCTE and other invited guests.
Dr Fr Jose Kuruvachira SDB, told the graduates, “After two years of intensive training under the guidance of your dedicated staff and teachers, you are going out on a very noble and urgent mission. You are going to be partners in the great mission of shaping the future of the state and the country”. He urged them to teach students to make prudent use of social media and to take care of mother earth. He told them to have passion for children and youth and to believe in the power of education as an effective agent of change.
Dr Fr Jose Kuruvachira also distributed certificates to 30 graduates of 2018-2020 batch and 40 graduates from 2019-2021 batch.
Other programmes of the day included Bible reading, choral singing and cultural dances by 1st and 3rd Semester students, and ‘Words from the Graduates’ by Tolivi Achumi.
