
Dimapur: August 18 (MExN): A two-day orientation programme was held for the 1st semester teacher-trainees of Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE), Dimapur on August 17 and 18.
Divided into four teams of twenty-five members each, namely Aroma, Phoenix, Froebel, and Agape, the new batch of teacher-trainees competed in different group as well as individual competitions. Some of the competitions included group song, group dance, creative item, solo, duet, extempore speech, skit and dramatics, painting and pencil sketch, informed a press release.
The two-day hectic programme was also part of the new two-year B.Ed. course on Enhancing Professional Capacities (EPC). It encourages the teacher-trainees to understand the self through participatory activities, the release said.
The programme was organized to bring out the latent talents in the teacher-trainees and to develop these potentials for their personal enhancement as well as to put these skills and talents of theirs for the greater service and enrichment of the students and the society whom they are going to serve as future educators, it added.
