
Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): A seminar on BEES (Behavioral Enhancement and Engagement Strategies) was held at Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School (LFHSS), Dimapur on August 14.
Organized for the Grade-XII students, the seminar was also attended by the Administrator of LFHSS, Arthur Edwards, the Academics Head, Prabhat Mandal and some teachers.
Fr. Joe Mariadhas (Joseph Mariadhas), Research Scholar, Research and Development Centre, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu was the resource person for the intervention programme. Through interventions, he said, “we accomplish amazing feats when the appropriate strategies are implemented to improve the behavior in general.” Positive changes to the behavior of students can improve the academic outcomes at any grade level, he added.
According to a press release, the aim of the psycho-educational seminar was to promote positive behavioral approach towards enhancing well-being among the students and to improve their academic performance.
The session consisted of bringing self awareness, self esteem and realizing the potential and power of students. The session also included PPTs and motivational videos.
The exercises were aimed at enhancing emotional intelligence, social competence and spiritual competence that will bring overall development of adolescent well being, the release stated.
The programme had interactive sessions, input and group activities.
