Zunheboto, July 18 (MExN): The Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) Zunheboto, Dr. Toshi Aier has informed that under National Livestock Mission 2017-18 on Innovative Poultry Productivity Project (IPPP), the department of AH & Veterinary Services has distributed one month old LIT birds with subsidy to 50 selected beneficiaries of Sukomi Village under Akuhaito block, Zunheboto district on July 17.
CVO Zunheboto Dr. Toshi Aier in a press release said that during the distribution programme, the CVO has given certain guidelines, advised and encouraged the farmers that, henceforth, with the department's assistance and initiation of bringing poultry birds to the village, should try maintaining uninterrupted chain of rearing system for meeting their immediate requirements in terms of financial and/or meat product and expressed his hope of sustenance with especial reference to poultry farming in the village.
Meanwhile, members of the council, Chairman and GBs have expressed gratitude to the Government of Nagaland, the Director and all the officials involved for such unexpected mega assistance to the needy people living in very remote area of the village. They also hoped for providing such help to the village in coming future.
