Dimapur, Dec 4 (MExN): Administration and civil, tribal organizations will be holding a joint consultative meeting December 8 at Jalukie Town Council hall from 11 am to discuss on the prevailing troubled situation in the Athibung areas and to address necessary steps and measures for this. The Zeliangrong Baudi (N), Kuki Inpi Nagaland and the SDO (C) Jalukie, EAC Athibung, Athibung GB Union Jalukie Chairmen Union and responsible organizations will be at the meeting.
The Baudi and Inpi in a joint statement also condemned the unabated clashes between the two NSCNs in and around Athibung. The two organizations appealed to both the factions to “reasonably refrain” from carrying out counter-attacks in public places. Both the factions are asked to remain confined in their respective designated camps and “help create a festive mood” and atmosphere congenial to all the people in the district. It also asked that public and vehicular movement be left ‘unhindered’ and that the peace of God “abide in you” and in the hearts of the people.
