Dimapur, January 29 (MExN): Young Dimasa Kachari boys and girls in traditional attires danced in unison to celebrate the post harvest festival ‘Bishu’ in Bamunpukhuri village on January 27, which has been recognized as the day of Bishu festival of Dimasa Kachari community by both Assam and Nagaland governments. Bamunpukhuri villagers celebrated the festival with pomp and gaiety, informed a press release. The programme included traditional blessings for the youth by village chiefs and invoking ‘Bishu’ blessings, Bikho khruba by Khramya, Muuriya and Dimasa students, Reemin Nelaiba and Dining Siklaiba and a mass Dimasa traditional dance by the villagers.
