BJP 33 Suruhuto-Asuto A/C woo villagers

Zunheboto, January 13 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mandal office bearers of 33 Suruhuto-Asuto Assembly Constituency undertook party tour to the most strategic villages under Suruhuto area from January 5 to 9.  

Led by Shikuto Sema, BJP Zunheboto district president, the tour covered 12 villages and town – Zhekuto village, Sapotimi village, Tichipami village, Kholeboto village, Vedami village, Narto Police HQ, Phuye Old, Phuye New, A/Saghemi village, Yehemi village, Kiyetha village, and Suruhuto Town.  

The team had meeting with political parties of Congress and NDPP, informed a press release from Tokhevi Ayemi, president, BJP 33 Suruhuto A/C.  

The purpose of the tour, according to the release, was to “deliver the clear and right message to the people about the goodness of the Bharatiya Janata Party and how the BJP government at the centre headed by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister is doing best services for the poor and needy people in the country.”  

Shikuto Sema, who was the main resource speaker, categorically stated that India is a secular and democratic country; every citizen has his/her liberty to believe any religion or practice any custom as per own wish, the release said.  

“BJP is a political party and nothing to do with religion affairs. So, nobody should doubt about it,” he asserted, adding “Nagas are at the threshold of entering into the new government in the State very soon.” The BJP district president further stated that corruption and defection of the NPF government is the talk of every Naga.  

Unemployment of educated youth is the “cry of the hour”, Ministers/Parliament Secretaries have become richer and rest of the people has become poorer, he lamented. Therefore, he said, “by all means change is eminent in the State and BJP is the only alternative party that will eradicate the corruption and bring development in the State.”  

Tokhevi Aye, mandal president briefed the villagers about the new schemes that are being introduced by the BJP government at the centre for the farmers and the poor people.  

Among many, Kavito Chophi, vice president; Phushito Yeptho, Kisan president; Tovishe Chophi, former mandal president; and Hokheyi Aye, State Executive Member exhorted the villagers to support the BJP during the ensuing state election, the press release said.
