Dimapur, May 6 (MExN): The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland organised a Moatsu Mong festival on May 5 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bengaluru.   Around 200 Naga Students attended the said event which was addressed by Y. Patton, Deputy Chief Minister, Pangnyu Phom, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, and Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Higher and Technical Education. Along was also the host of the programme.   Manipur BJP MLA L. Susindro Meitei (Yaima), Nagaland State BJP President Visasolie Lhongu, former State BJP President Dr. M. Chuba Ao and Secretary Organising Ananta Mishra also attended the said event.   The delegation of BJP Nagaland is stationed at Bengaluru in view of the Karnataka Legislation Assembly Election scheduled on May 12.   According to a press release, the programme was chaired by Student Union Adviser Tali Jamir while the welcome address was delivered by Naga Students Union Bengaluru (NSUB) President Nuthipru Chakhesang.   Interacting with the student community, it was highlighted to the delegation the long demand and urgent need of a Nagaland Guest House in Bengaluru which will not only cater to the needs of the students but to all the citizens of Nagaland who go down to the Southern part of India for employment, tours, medical treatment, business etc.   Replying on the issue, Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton assured to look in to the matter and take necessary steps to apprise the same to the State government.   Another query raised by the students to the delegation was the guarantee of availing jobs in Nagaland on completion of their studies. To this, Minister for Higher and Technical Education replied that out of 20 lakhs population in Nagaland, more than 1.60 lakhs are already employed in the Government sector. This itself is in excess and to accommodate more is very dim, he maintained.   However encouraging them, Imna Along said Nagas need to be more adventurous. Instead of looking for jobs only at home, one should work outside the state too, he stated. “We (Nagas) are talented enough to compete with fellow country man and also capable enough to venture at the international level,” Along added.
