Dimapur, December 21 (MExN): In continuation of its first phase booth-level workers’ training, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland organised trainings for 4th Ghaspani-1 and 6th Tening mandals on December 21. With this, the booth-level workers’ training for this year has ended.
Speaking at the 4th Ghaspani-1 training, BJP State president Visasolie Lhoungu lamented that development is not visible in Nagaland. Stating that there are more than 60 development departments in the State, he asserted these departments are not for individual benefits but for community development, informed a press release from Media Cell, BJP Nagaland.
“There are various welfare schemes and programmes for woman and child, youth, disabled people and for rural based people but the goods are not reaching the right doorsteps and this will continue with the present setup,” Lhoungu noted. “If a change is to take place in the system, it is possible only if BJP comes to power in the State.” The BJP chief maintained that at the present juncture “other political parties will not sustain to run the State without BJP.”
He expressed confidence that BJP under Narendra Modi can only bring peace and development to the State. On the Naga political issue, he said BJP leaders have shown their sincerity and eagerness for early solution and peace in the region. Meanwhile, Lhoungu asserted BJP will provide equal opportunity and timely implementation of the development agendas if it comes to power in the State.
Regarding the allegation of BJP being a Hindu party and “anti Christian”, he said these talks are only in Nagaland State. “Other political parties have no talking points so they speak on religion lines only to tarnish the image of the party growth. Central BJP leaders never insist on religious lines rather they tell us to respect each other. And as majority in Nagaland, we need to be good Christians,” he added.
Meanwhile, BJP Media Cell convener, K James Vizo said BJP under Prime Minster Narendra Modi aims to build ‘One nation, strong nation and total development’. “The recent victory of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh speaks volume of BJP’s development mantra that has successfully worked. The negative propagandas against the party have failed and the people have voted for development under Modi and Amit Shah,” he stated.
Further, Vizo maintained that if people want stability with good governance and performance in the State, “BJP is the only alternative in the State that can bring transformation and reformation and for which the party workers need to work hard at grassroots level by disseminating the accurate objectives and visions of the party, which is development and nothing else.” He also highlighted the BJP history and working system of the party.
Tsasepi, BJP State vice president spoke on the vision documents of BJP Nagaland 2018, while Lima Onen, BJP State Secretary spoke on the various misconceptions regarding the party.
Earlier in the morning, Lhoungu also inaugurated the Ghaspani-1 mandal office in Niuland.
At Tening mandal under Peren district, the training was led by Ananta Mishra, Secretary Organising; Jaangsillung, general secretary; and Bandi, spokesperson.
