Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): BJP Nagaland Secretary Organisation, Ananta Mishra visited New Delhi from April 22-26 and met several leaders.
During his meeting with National BJP President Amit Shah, National General Secretary (Org.) Ramlal, and Nagaland Election in-charge & MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju, he submitted detailed report of the party affairs in the recent State general election. According to a press release from BJP Nagaland Media Cell, the Central leaders were satisfied with State unit’s performance.
As directed by the high command, the BJP State unit will organise a training camp for the legislators, State, district, and Mandal level workers shortly, it was informed.
Meanwhile, Mishra also met the former Prime Minister and the first BJP National President Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former National BJP President Murli Manohar Joshi.
Joshi recalled that in the early 1985, the entry of BJP in Nagaland faced stiff opposition; however, he managed to plant few activities with handful of workers and stayed four days in Kohima, the release informed.
While congratulating and appreciating the people of Nagaland in general and all party rank and file in particular for bringing the party to victory in the State, Joshi recollected the immense contribution of PB Acharya, the then BJP North East in-charge and presently the Governor of Nagaland.
Ananta Mishra also met Ram Madhav, National BJP General Secretary and North East Political Affairs in-charge during the visit.
