The 57th Raising Day of the Border Security Force was celebrated at 37 Bn BSF Campus, Chedema (Nagaland) today.

Vinod Kumar, Commandant 37 Bn BSF addressed the troops of the Bn and highlighted the origin and the glorious past of BSF.  

He also mentioned that the history of the BSF has been very remarkable and it is our prime responsibility to maintain the dignity of the force.  "We should perform our duty with utmost discipline and sincerity," he added.

He also mentioned that BSF was created on 1st December 1965 as a specialized force with the sole responsibility of guarding India's border.

The occasion was attended by Chairman Village Council, Chedema, Chairman Model Village Chedema, P. Khel Vice chairman, civilians around the BSF Campus, Ex BSF Personnel and Jawans of 37 BN BSF. 

Cultural functions were also organized during the gala celebrations by Seema Praharies and local troupes. 

The cultural program  with music and dance was led by Sub Inspector Aman Kumar.
